Lancelin is a small fishing and tourist town located 110 km north of Perth.
Kitesurfing and windsurfing are popular in the ocean off Lancelin, as are sandboarding and 4-wheel driving on the beaches and in the dunes behind the town.
Lancelin stretches along the edge of a natural bay which is protected from the Indian Ocean by outer reefs and islands. The protected waters of the bay are ideal for swimming, fishing, boating and for small watercraft. Water activities dominate leisure activities within the town.
