Perth is the capital city of Western Australia, discovered by Willem de Vlamingh in 1697. Throughout the years it has changed dramatically growing from a large country town into a modern and dynamic city with a population of over 1.5 million. There is a mixture of colonial and modern architecture.
Get plenty of sunshine while in Perth as the weather is great and the beaches are clean and uncrowded. The stretch of 80 kilometres of coastal beauty is suitable for swimming and surfing.

Australia's South West, WA
South West Western Australia boasts of picturesque landscape, beautiful beaches and many small towns along the way.
Fremantle is the first major town south of Perth. It is a relaxed and historical town to visit. As you go east, you will come across Hyden, a small town famous for its rock formation Wave Rock.
Going sou th along the coast are a few pleasant coastal holiday resorts. Rockingham offers beautiful beaches and boat cruises. You will not forget an experience for a cruise out to Penguin Island or swim with the dolphins during the month of September to May.
Further south is Mandurah which is located on the Mandurah Estuary. You can take a boat trip within the Estuary to watch dolphins and birds or you can go on the Mandurah City Tram to tour the city.
Heading further south is the historic Pinjarra where there was a battle between the Aborigines and the white settlers. There are a few historical buildings to visit and fantastic steam train journey to ride.
South of Pinjarra is Harvey where you can bushwalk in the Yalgorup National Park. Along the highway, there is Collie, the only coal town in Western Australia. In addition to the coal mining exhibition, there are tours around the Muja Power Station.
Along the coast, there is Bunbury, Busselton and Dunsborough. Then, you can head towards Cape Naturaliste and the beautiful beaches including Bunker Bay, Eagle Bay and Meelup.
At Yallingup, you can go surfing or visit the Ngilgi Cave. From Augusta, you will pass Shannon National Park, Mt Frankland National Park and Walpole-Nornalup National Park.

Australia's Coral Coast, WA
Australia’s Coral Coast stretches from Cervantes to Exmouth. It unique natural attractions include the Pinnacles Desert, the Abrolhos Islands, the Kalbarri National Park and the Shark Bay World Heritage Area.
Colourful wildflowers during June to November is spectacular sight to behold for the visitors.
Australia’s Coral Coast boasts of beautiful coastlines and a world class marine environment including Ningaloo Reef which is one of the world’s most accessible fringing reefs consisting of 500 species of fish and 220 species of colourful corals. It is also home to the world’s largest fish – the whale shark which can be sighted from late March to June each year.
Australia’s Coral Coast is well established in the tourism industry.
The Abrolhos Islands provide snorkellers and divers with beautiful coral and spectacular marine life. There are the sealions of Leeman, gorges of Kalbarri, blow holes of Carnavon and the dolphins of Monkey Mia. The beach, the off-road adventures and offshore fishing in Coral Bay, Denham and Exmouth should not be missed.
Shark Bay World Heritage Area is the Western Australia’s first world heritage listed area. It is also Australia’s largest marine embayment with more than 1500 kilometres of pristine coastline. A mecca for visitors all year round, its natural attractions include Zuytdorp Cliffs and the Wooramel Seagrass Bank.
