Hillside Country Retreat, York

Built of rammed earth and completely separate from the main house, each room is large and spacious and has a private entrance and an undercover parking bay. Our rooms are individually furnished with antique furniture and period memorabilia but while guests may feel that they have taken a step back in time, they never forgo any modern conveniences.

Each room has high ceilings and pleasing garden views. In addition to private bathroom facilities (inclusive of a hairdryer) and a separate sitting area, each has a television, DVD, VCR, CD, radio and complimentary videos and DVDs to help you relax after a busy day.

For your convenience tea, coffee and fresh milk are supplied along with a bar fridge. Comfort during our hot summers is provided by air-conditioners or ceiling fans while wood heating and electric blankets ensure snug surroundings during winter months.

We have five queen size bedrooms with ensuites, one of which has a spa bath and another, a fully equipped kitchen. In addition, a new studio style room with a 2 person spa bath and kitchenette is now available.

A generous cooked or continental breakfast is offered to our bed and breakfast guests in our charming tea house which is situated in the gardens, a short walk from the bedrooms.
The breakfast is available at an extra charge to guests in self-contained accommodation.
